The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
In tests, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't employ LIDAR however, as other models do to identify your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum performs well on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even remove pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it only marginally superior to circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system which blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. We like the claim but not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system employs sensors that remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only issue is that it does not have a second rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.
As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the high-powered ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. It will gently bump into a wall or furniture and then move on if it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and automatically transfers trash into a hidden bin. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something requires attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your abode. This feature is useful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first go. It can also vacuum up wet spills but I would suggest drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you can wish for. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and empties the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It is more than two feet in the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet on one charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.
Finally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can use it even if you're away from home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of just following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor produces a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it increases suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that has a range of convenience features not often found on robots in this price range. It can make precise floor maps and recognize different flooring types. It's also one of the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are great however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than some homeowners need.
Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish highlighted by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the home. Sensors are concealed behind the front pane which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will shut it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu located in the middle of the control panel lets users to select cleaning options as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of cameras and LIDAR technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4% of debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our wood, black friday robot vacuum deals tile, and carpet tests. It was not as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
